Within the framework of cooperation between the ferroalloy plant and Aktobe Higher Polytechnic College, an event dedicated to practicing the skills of “SheberSkills” started on March 13-14 this year.
The purpose of the event is to create a memorandum of cooperation between the management of the Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant of JSC Transnational Company Kazchrome, the largest enterprise in the mining and metallurgical industry of the country, and the management of Aktobe Higher Polytechnic College, the best educational institution in the region of technical and vocational education, holding sports meetings and business contacts, as well as developing the skills of “SheberSkills” in promotion of working professions development.
On the first day, the grand opening of the event took place on the basis of the Aktobe Ferroalloy plant. The opening ceremony was attended by the plant’s management, representatives of the regional department of Education, college management and teachers of special disciplines, and a tour of the production workshops was conducted according to the plan agreed upon by the plant administration.
On the basis of the plant, a professional skills competition was organized among college students and employees of the plant in the competencies “labor protection”, “laboratory chemical analysis” and “maintenance and repair of diesel engines”.
The next day, the event continued at Aktobe Higher Polytechnic College. The competition of professional skills in the competencies “Network and system administration”, “Electronics”, “turning”, “welding technology” continued.
The plant’s management got acquainted with the modern equipment of the educational institution, the progress of their application, and highly appreciated the college’s capabilities in training young specialists. A round table was organized, and further plans to strengthen ties between production and the educational institution were discussed. The next part of the event was devoted to friendly sports games, where the winners were determined.
The closing ceremony ended with a contract signing ceremony and the awarding of the best and winners of the competition.
