“Panorama of pedagogical ideas” video lessons competition among college teachers
RULES Methodical cabinet of Aktobe Higher Polytechnic College and cyclic methodical association “Natural science disciplines” announces a competition of video lessons “Panorama of pedagogical ideas” among college teachers.
Purpose and tasks The purpose of the competition is to accumulate and propagate modern pedagogical experience in the unified information and educational space, to increase information and communication and technological competence of teachers. Objectives of the competition: • Development of competences for use of teaching and information technologies; • Dissemination of best practices; • Replenishment of the best video lessons and video lectures. Contest languages: Kazakh, Russian, English. (language of choice)
Type of video material: – Lecture (method of teaching and education, consistent monologue system of ideas in a particular field); – lesson (form of organization of educational work, in which case the teacher works in a fixed schedule on a fixed schedule, using various methods for achievement of didactic and educational goals set for students, defined in the curriculum); – practical / laboratory work (one of the types of practical work for the purpose of deepening and consolidation of theoretical knowledge, development of skills of independent testing); – Workshop (a form of the learning process, based on the instruction of the supervisor, for the students’ self-study of individual issues, topics, followed by the presentation of a material as a report, abstract and joint discussion). – Master-class (specific method and specific lesson in improving practical skills, conducted by a specialist in his field of creativity, teaching activities). The order of organization and holding of the competition:
Teachers of the Aktobe Higher Polytechnic College can submit their works (video lessons, video lectures, etc.) to the competition. The number of videos provided by the participants is not limited and videos that have not been previously published, that have not participated in other contests, are not posted online. For each video you have to fill out the application form for the competition (Annex 2). The application for participation in the competition is accepted until January 15, 2020 (Methodical office). Contest work will be accepted until February 14, 2020. The results of the competition will be announced on February 28, 2020. Video specifications: • HD (1280×720) to Full HD (1920×1080); • .mp4 format. • Timing of the video up to 15 minutes; All materials will be submitted to the Expert Council upon completion of the bidding period. The competition is held in two stages: Stage 1 – The works will be evaluated. The results of the competition will be announced on February 18. Stage 2 – Selected video materials will be posted on the YouTube channel of Aktobe Higher Polytechnic College on YouTube, Instagram -. Stage 2 is determined by voting. Voting will take place from February 18 to February 26. Winners will be determined based on the points they have accumulated in stages 1-2.
Criteria for evaluating the tender materials: 1. Conformity of the content of the competition work to the competition directions. (0-2 points) 2. Relevance, compliance with modern requirements of education, practical orientation and methodological value of the material. (0-2 points) 3. High internal motivation of students and active self-activity in the classroom. (0-2 points) 4. The level of introduction of advanced educational technologies and new achievements in digital education. (0-2 points) 5. The logic of building a story line. (0-2 points) 6. Ability to use ICT equipment during the lesson. (0-2 points) 7.Video material quality. (0-2 points) 8.YouTube, Instagram – The more votes you get on the Aktobe Higher Polytechnic College channel, the more points you get.
Contest results: The best video lessons (1st, 2nd, 3rd places) will be awarded with diplomas. All participants will be awarded certificates. The score is added to the college rating. 1st place – 1000 points 2nd place – 500 points 3rd place – 300 points 100 points for all participants The best works will be presented at the open video lessons competitions at the national and regional levels.
